Beit Yeshua Torah Assembly

Statement of Faith

We are an assembly of believers in Yeshua Messiah dedicated to the study and teaching of all of the Word of Elohim without prejudice.  We do not consider ourselves to be categorized as either Christian, Jewish, or Messianic, although our beliefs are closer to Messianic than the other two mentioned.  Our beliefs can be briefly summarized in our “Definitions and Terminology” and as follows:

  • 1)       Yahweh our Elohim is One (Deu 6:-4-5 NASB)  "Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!   "And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

  • 2)       Elohim is not a “Trinity” or three gods as taught in Catholicism.  He is just as He describes Himself in His Word as the all-powerful, all-knowing, Creator of the Universe.  Elohim manifests Himself in any way He desires, whether it is as a burning bush to Moses, a whirlwind to Job, as the Seven Spirits of Elohim in Revelation, or as His Word made flesh.

  • 3)      Yeshua of the Apostolic Scriptures (New Testament) is the Messiah described in the Tanakh (Old Testament) and is His Father’s Word made flesh. (John 1:1-14).  Yeshua is the Lamb of Elohim whose blood is the vehicle of the New Covenant (Jer. 31:31-34, Luke 22:20).  Yeshua is now our High Priest in the order of Melchizedek (Psalm 110:4, Hebrews 5-7).

  • 4)     When one is a true believer and follower of Messiah, he becomes a part of the Commonwealth of Israel (Eph. 2:12-19, Gal. 3:28-29).  See “Who is Israel?”

  • 5)     All 66 books of Scripture are to be honored by followers of Messiah (2 Tim 3:16 NASB)  All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;  that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

  • 6)      Torah is the foundation of Scripture and should be followed by all believers to the best of their ability.

  • 7)      Elohim is sovereign in all things.  Man can only come to Him if he is chosen by Elohim, not vice versa (Rom. 8:29-30, Acts 13:48).

  • 8)      We do not intend to imitate Christian pagan practices or follow Jewish Talmudic dogma in order to make others comfortable.  Christian paganism and Jewish Talmudic additions are both prohibited by Torah.  Our purpose is to glorify Elohim in all things through obedience to His instructions (Torah).  We strive to be servants of His that are not ashamed (2 Tim. 2:15).
